The Santa Fe Ski Team has a long and proud history of helping the community get out and do something
in particular; become involved in the rewarding and challenging pursuit of Alpine Ski Racing. For the last
30 years, the Santa Fe Ski Team has helped skiers of all ages and abilities improve as athletes, grow as
individuals and excel as ski racers. Some of our alumni have gone on to race on the U.S. Ski Team, and
others to race for various colleges or universities all over the country. Others simply enjoy the
camaraderie of being on a team, and the social aspect of skiing and learning in a group setting.
The Santa Fe Ski Team is a 501-C3 Non Profit Organization that has a fantastic membership of great
athletes, outstanding students, dedicated coaches and helpful parents. The SFST is also a United
States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) accredited club. The USSA is the largest governing body
of ski racing in the United States, and sets goals and standards for all of its member organizations.
Our focus is on the development of strong skiing and ski racing fundamentals, as well as developing
strong, goal oriented individuals and fostering a knowledge of and a caring for the outdoors and for
sport of skiing. Free skiing, drills, and fun are emphasized—as well as gate training in all of the alpine
disciplines —Downhill, Super Giant Slalom, Giant Slalom and Slalom. Racers compete locally within
New Mexico, but also nationally participating in races and camps in several states including Arizona,
Colorado and Oregon.
